Laddow meet – 1st and 2nd July reminder.
1st Saturday – meet in the Crowden Car park 073,993, from 9.30 am Saturday. If its fine – will be on Laddow. Otherwise – scramble.
Saturday night – staying at the campsite at Crowden Saturday night. If you want to book the camp site, phone the warden 01457-866057, and tell him you are part of the Castle club group.
2nd – Sunday – meet at the campsite 10.am. Those at the site may be ready to go earlier.This allows for climbing on Laddow, Lads leap [a clump of v.diffs], Tintwhistle Knarr [knarly vs], Crowden Great Quarry [death defying], Shining Clough [wonderful], and other minor crag on the N side of Bleaklow. Scrambling routes include Oaken clough on Laddow, and the marvellous Shinning clough. Great walking north to Marsden and back, Chew, and south over Bleaklow.
