Hi All,
Just a reminder that Geoff Nicholls and myself are holding an instruction day, open to club members only, on Saturday week 27/4. This will take place at Stanage Popular – meet at the car park GR:- 244829 at 9am.
We are hoping to cover the following aspects of lead climbing:-
Protection placements.
Racking gear.
Construction of belay anchor systems.
Single and double rope techniques.
Abseil techniques
Selection of routes
Safety aspects.
Communication.
Crag environment and conservation.If you would like to come on this event can you please text me on 07468 697805 by Wednesday evening 24th April in order that we can assess the amount of equipment we need.
