eleven of us started the walk from Hathersage, all in waterproofs, but amazingly, the very heavy shower was gone after 2 mins, and we sweated up the hills shedding layers. I had booked the weather, just a bit of a delay!! I have become a sad ticker, and my mission was to find more than 33 different types of wild flowers, as that was last years walk.
Sean managed to find last year’s list, and we have quite a few new ones this year- 37 plus 2 or 3 unidentified white ones. was one of these Jack in the Hedge (garlic mustard), or woodruff?? We need you, Steve , Su and John. Sad enough to look at my book today!!
I have the new list if anyone is interested. Even started looking at the flowers in the hedgerow and Porter Brook today!! What has come over me? Linda
