See the oldest pump station in the world!! A walk of about 10miles. Meet to leave promptly at 10am at the parking for Ecton mines, grid reference sk096 582. It is a free large parking area on the road that runs parallel to the Manifold trail. It took us about an hour to drive from S8. We have 2 spaces in our car if anyone wants a lift.
This a follow on from our Ecton mine trip last year, exploring the hills above, with far reaching views, lots of variety. We will be avoiding the busy flat manifold trail, and visiting Wetton and Wolfscote dale. Cheers Linda.
