Crowden Walk Date Clarification: Sunday 30th January

Just to clarify this walk is planned for Sunday 30th January!
I have not been able to find a suitable scramble around Crowden so instead I am planning to lead a walking ascent of Black Hill via Crowden Great Brook and Siddens Moss. The descent will be along the Tooleyshaw Moor ridge – giving either panoramic views if the weather is clear or a navigational challenge if it is misty!
Whilst there is no technical scrambling, there is quite a lot of boulder-hopping along Crowden Great Brook and the possibility of some optional scrambling on the remote Crowden Castles. For anyone interested in aircraft wrecks we will be passing the crash site of two Meteor jets on Siddens Moss.

Depart: 9.30 from Crowden Car Park (free parking).
