After the announcement from the government about the lockdown exit plan the club is going to resume meets in the following way.
1.Sunday and Thursday walks will be posted on the club website from 29/3/21. These will follow the rule of 6 and you will need to book through the website or contact the walk leader via phone, email, text or WhatsApp. This will give the leader the number of people who wish to attend, in case a second leader is needed. Group size will increase in line with any new government guideline. Present advice states that group sizes cannot increase before 17/5/21.
Rosy Smith will coordinate Thursday walks and Alison Milne will coordinate Sunday walks, so contact the appropriate member if you would like to lead a walk. If you are leading a Thursday or a Sunday walk, risk assessments and names still need to be filed as before.
2. Monday cycling will restart also from the 29/3/21. These will be run through the WhatsApp group again starting with the rule of 6. If you would like to be added to this group please contact Mary Reape.
3. Climbing will start and will be run through the WhatsApp group till an official meets list is published. The official meets list will start no earlier than 17/5/21. This is in line with the government exit plan regarding larger group sizes.
If you would like to lead a climbing meet after 17/5/21 please contact Paul Gibson.
4. We are going to book our first away meet of the year which will be at Dalebridge Campsite near Austwick on 24/6/21, starting on the Thursday. This will mean we potentially miss the masses at the campsites and will be there for three nights, giving a chance for members who work to still attend.
Please contact Paul Gibson ASAP if you would like to attend as this could be popular.
Hopefully the vaccine roll out will carry on going well and we will be back to a more normal meets list from 21/6/21.
Stay safe and hope to see you all out and about soon
