Chew Valley – Sunday 25th July

Advance notice of this meet, in case you want to book to stay for the weekend.
Park at Dove Stone Reservoir [tea van and toilets, pay and display], (SE 013035).
    Meet 9.0am by the toilets.

Options – to be decided on the day:
Dovestones Edge: ‘The finest crag in the Chew area for low to mid-grade routes’ 40 climbs
Dovestones Quarry: including Black and White Traverse, a 120m three pitch rising traverse, hvd. [if it’s still there]
Rob’s Rocks: a great cluster of shorter climbs, diff to VS
Wimberry: slightly harder stuff – some classics. Great bouldering.
Scrambling: Wilderness Gully – just about the best scramble of its grade in the Peak. Better with a bit of water in it.

If you want to make a weekend of it, meet at 9.0am on Saturday 24th, same place. Camping at Well-i-Hole Farm, Greenfield, on Saturday night, . https://www.well-i-holefarm.co.uk/
tel:01457 600208. You need to book.

Please let me know if you plan to go on the Saturday – so I know to look for you. [e mail please, after 17/7; not what’s app]

Tuesday meet 6th of July at Horsethief, Stoney Middleton.

Between Stoney Middleton and Horseshoe Quarry. There are parking spaces on a track, now paved passed the road to Eyam after a bend on a sharp left turning coming from Calver.

We’ll be there from 2pm onwards.

    Thanks,
