Park at the end of the Monsal Trail on Coombs Lane outside Bakewell (GR SK 230679) and mount your steed (hybrid or robust tourer OK) for a 10am start. Up the Monsal Trail, a push up the Pennine Bridleway to Blackwell then on up and over to join the northern end of the High Peak Trail. Down the trail to Friden, then minor roads to Middleton, Youlgreave and Bakewell. 28 miles of trail, track and minor road. Bring lunch and drinks because it looks as if Parsley Hay will be closed. If the weather is bad then we can curtail the ride. Dave C
