ALERT – parking charges

This sign was placed at the free layby carpark above Fairholmes. Note that Derbys County Council are trying to introduce £5.50 per day parking charges at many of the small areas that we use.
The address for objections is at the bottom of the poster – suitable grounds for objection might include
– disincentive to exercise when it is Gov policy to encourage this
– unfairly penalises the poorer in society
– no (or poor) public transport to most of these locations
– hits parks used by hikers, climbers and cyclists who care for the countryside (unlike DCC?)
etc

Maybe a Club response too? (looking at you, committee)

Disgusting same has happened at langsett I objected to the langsett one and will be objecting to this
