To start the New Year, we will meet at Ladybower Dam, road end g.r. 202855, on the A6013 Bamford to Snake Pass road at 11am. Parking on the road or side roads around the Yorkshire Bridge Pub, or if all full, there is Heatherdene Carpark, £2.50 all day even on bank hols, and you can walk on a footpath past the toilets directly to the dam- allow a little extra time for all this. Share lifts if you can.
We will go across the dam, traverse across and then directly up the short sharp way to the top of Win Hill, for hopefully fantastic views in all directions. A gentle down along the sweeping ridge leads to Guide post, and a short descent through the woods northwards to the reservoir and back along various tracks to the dam. About 8 easy miles. Time for a drink in the Yorkshire Bridge afterwards. cheers, Linda.
