Meet at the National Trust car park just just after the lay by near “the Grouse”pub (G.R.256776) for a 7 mile walk initially traversing Froggatt Edge before descending to Froggatt Bridge and following the valley to Grindleford and the railway bridge at Upper Padley.
Passing through Padley Gorge the route then ascends the attractive path from Yarncliff and continues along the edge of Longshaw Estate before the return over Nether Padley and Tumbling Hill where,If the weather permits, we will be able to admire the spectacular view from the quarry above the hillside.
