This Sunday walk. was provisionally going to be centred around the. Upper Derwent Valley, heading towards ridge walk and ronksley. moor. An attempted recce at the w/e revealed that both footpaths are both closed due to major works on tree felling. There is apparently significant Larch disease and so the footpaths are closed until late February, so one to. look forward to in. the. summer.
What you do have is. the lovely circular route from Eyam via Abney and Great Hucklow. This is a 10 mile walk, starting at. the main. Eyam Car Park 9.30, which is. subject to a voluntary donation, and as you all discovered today a choice of teashops as the end of the walk, if desired.
