We drove from Patterdale over Kirkstone Pass and to Lancaster where we had very efficient service at the Lancaster Royal Infirmary. The injury was triaged, X-rayed and plastered and we were on our way home in just over an hour. It was confirmed to be a Colles fracture (of Rosy’s right wrist). We stopped for a meal at Lancaster Services where the only hot option was a burger & fries from Burger King. Hope the White Lion provided better. Thanks to all on the meet who helped with strapping up and slinging the injured limb, providing a big mug of tea, mobile phone availability, ginger cake etc.! Hope you all have a good day out on the fells today. Andy & Rosy.
