Walk Sunday 06 October Dead Edge End and Snailsden Pike

My high level walk this coming Sunday is in the north of the Peak District in a superb moorland area the club don’t get to very often. The walk takes in two trig points and three Ethels (Britland Edge, Dead Edge End and Snailsden Pike) along with far reaching views south over Bleaklow and dramatic views down into Ramsden Clough.
Start time – 10.00
Starting point – Holme Moss Car Park (opposite transmitter station) HD92QF. Grid ref 098038
Distance – 9ish miles
Ascent – 700-800ft
Going underfoot – soft with a bit of bog initially but this changes to good footpaths as the walk progresses.
Weather dependant? – No
Change of shoes/socks needed? – Yes
