16 of us congregated in Hope for a tour up and around Win Hill. Lovely to see David and Linda again after their winter in the sun.
Leaving Hope on the Edale road, we turned right down towards the river and followed a track and field paths up to Farfield Farm. We steadily gained height taking a short stretch of road and a bridleway up to the start of Access Land. We took a slightly early coffee break, taking advantage of a sheltered spot and lovely views of the Ridge.
Continuing upwards we reached the top of Win Hill , with views in all directions.
It was a bit cool to linger so we headed down in a north easterly direction to join the path contouring round just above the trees, and followed this enjoying views towards the reservoirs. Another handy wall provided a sheltered lunch spot, before we rejoined the bridleway contouring round below Hope Brink. We descended via Twitchill Farm and reached the cars just as the rain started.
