This approx 7 mile walk will start at Peak Forest [GR 114794 with a generous amount of parking on the minor road on north side of A623] and head south to Dale Head [with the option of peeling off here for a shorter 4 and 1/2 mile walk] continuing to Hargatewall, before dropping down to briefly join the Limestone Way as we head northwards through Peter Dale, Hay dale and Dam Dale, and back across fields to Peak Forest. This is a repeat of a walk I led in January 2022 [does that count as a recce?] and I remember numerous stiles, some quite challenging, so be prepared.
