Meet at 11am in Tideswell outside the church. If driving, find parking where you can in the village. Route goes via Tideswell Dale, Litton Mill, section on the Monsal Trail, Miller’s Dale and a bit on the Limestone Way. Approx 6 miles.
16 of us met in Tideswell – weather a steady (refreshing!) light drizzle for a lot of the walk. South through the village to a footpath through the woods above the B6049. Down to the road, across and into Tideswell Dale. Slightly heavier rain meant a soggy coffee stop in Litton Mill. Across the Wye and up to join Monsal Trail for a bit, enjoying views back over Tideswell Dale. Slippery descent to Miller’s Dale and group photo on the bridge (see below) before lunch stop in a little enclosure next to the “Meal Mill” (resisting the Angler’s Rest!). Then up hill to join the Limestone Way above Monk’s Dale, finally crossing fields back to Tideswell. Some departed and one arrived (by bike) for tea and cake in Tideswell Lounge cafe. Thanks everyone for your company. Bron and Nick
