Nine members set off from Peak Forest on a glorious spring morning. After crossing a couple of fields we were surprised by two young stags in the next field who quickly took off but not before they were captured on video. You can see the video and photos on WhatsApp, thank you Chris.
Following an early coffee stop with views back over Peak Forest we arrived at the crossing of several footpaths. From here we descended to the road with excellent views of Mam Torr and Rushup Edge.
Climbing up onto the edge the day grew warmer and the slight breeze was welcome as we ate lunch with more lovely views across the Edale valley.
This walk continued along Ruship Edge where the sight of two expensive, wrecked and abandoned vehicles just off the narrow pathway gave pause for thought. How did they get there and why would anyone want to take them there?
After the ridge there was an easy stroll along quiet roads back to our cars.
A lovely walk in excellent weather and I good company. Thanks to everyone who came.
