Meet GR187876, just off the snake pass A57, at the first parking, on right hand side, Hurst Clough, about a mile towards Fairholmes. The autumn colours are early this year so it should be great photo opportunities, and this was the second ever Thurs walk for the club, 2/11/12, and a really lovely one
. About 7 easy miles, with one steep up early on. Cafe and toilets part way round, what more could you want! Will head up to Crookhill farm, and turn left following the gently undulating path with spectacular views first across to Derwent, Stanage, Bamford edge, and then a little later the whole of the Edale skyline. Along the ridge to Lockerbrook coppice, then gently down to Derwent reservoir and back along the path by the reservoir. See you at 11am, Linda
