This was a walk characterized by dry weather, lovely trees, babbling brooks, moderate mud and difficulty keeping up with how many were in the party. Eighteen started the walk, one left for an alternative finish, another joined us having done an alternative start, then one retraced their steps to retrieve a flask inadvertently left at a previous stop. We initially made our way through the woods near the Sportmans pub on Redmires road, at times followed the conduit, paused at the Headstone whilst the president made a ritual ascent, followed delightful streams in the Rivelin valley including Wyming brook, before emerging from the woods at the Three Merry Lads pub. Just under 7 miles in total. Thanks to all who could join in all, or part of, the walk.
