If you are at a loose end on Saturday April 18th at 7.30pm, why not make your way to Hathersage Memorial Hall for an illustrated lecture on Ernest Shakleton’s expedition to cross Antartica via the South Pole, just 100 years ago.

He will be giving a presentation, which includes images reproduced from the original lantern slides taken by Frank Hurley, the expedition photographer.
