This walk is in a generally quieter moorland area of Bradfield Moors. Meet at 10am at GR245928 at a largish layby on east side of Mortimer Rd and about 200m north of hairpin bend by Windy Bank turning.
The route goes via Emlin, Dukes Rd, Cartledge Stones, New Cross and Emlin Dike. There are some good paths but also some rugged trackless heathery moorland sections. Saw 2 hares, 2 people, 1 dog and lots of curlews on recent recce, non guaranteed next Sunday. Approximately 8miles. If anyone is willing to lead a second group if needed, please let me know.
