Meet at Birchen Clough layby (GR SK 109915, the large layby on the bend about half a mile uphill from the Snake Inn) for a 10.00 am start to the walk. Car sharing is now NOT advised, and please keep a social distance from others on the meet.
We will head down past the Inn then ascend to the northern edge of Kinder and follow this eastwards to Crookstone Hill. From there it’s the eroded track down to Alport Bridge and the old Roman road back to the cars. About 10 miles. Some peat bog and mud guaranteed.
