Sunday 09 Dec Buxton to Peak Forest walk

Dear All

The aim of Sunday is to follow the Peak District Boundary Walk between Buxton and Peak Forest.

Meet in Peak Forest (113793) at 9.45.

Parking is available on the road to Old Dam (turn left after the pub if coming from Stoney Middleton direction).

Alas there is no Sunday bus service so we can then take some cars to Buxton market place (058733)and start from there.

The walk is 10.2 miles with 983 feet of ascent. Assuming we leave Buxton at 10.15 we should be able to get to Peak Forest for 15.30 without too much of a rush and use cars that have been left there to return to Buxton etc

Dear All

There has been a couple of slight amendments to the walk (thanks Sean for update).

Distance is 12.4 miles and ascent is 1485 feet.

Forecast is quite good for the afternoon (with the chance of sun!) but there seems to be the possibility of rain in the morning.

Still planning to meet in Peak Forest at 9.45
