Trad climbing in a (limestone quarry)! 140 routes from HS to E6.
As the BMC guide states: ‘Staden Quarry is a wonderful crag. You’ll have a great time and you’ll always come back for more.’
Parking is in the village of Cowdale – it is important that you park considerately on the verge after the bend as you enter the hamlet from the A6. Grid ref is SK 079723.
Follow the track from the bend down into the quarry.
The crag is set in pasture, and there are usually cows present, so NO DOGS. The landowner does not support climbing in the quarry.

Cowdale is accessed on minor road from the A515 Buxton to Ashbourne road 2km SE of Buxton. Alternatively, turn S off A6 3km east of Buxton.
