Snake by bus – Sunday 19th November
Take the 257 bus to the Snake Pass. This leaves Sheffield interchange at 8.55am, and Crosspool [outside church, west of A57 Sandygate junction] at 9.12; arriving at the Snake Pass at 9.55. I’ll be getting on at Crosspool. Oldies – remember your bus pass. Return by bus from Fairholmes at 16.05. Walk to take in Bleaklow Head, Bleaklow Hill, the ridge, Alport Castles. Longer options are possible if you’d like to aim for the 18.05 bus back.
Convenient places to leave a car to join the bus would be Crosspool, Ashopton viaduct.
