The first slide show of the autumn will be on Thursday 5th October at 8pm in the clubroom, entitled ”East is east and west is west….passes galore near the ends of the Himalaya”.
Chris Huxham will be describing and contrasting two lengthy high altitude treks in Bhutan [2015] and Ladakh [2016] with a tiny bit of culture and a hint of song and dance thrown in.
If you are able to arrive earlier that evening, we’re also planning to have a clubroom clean-up from 6.30pm to spruce things up before the 50th anniversary weekend in October, when the clubroom will be open on Saturday lunchtime for past club members.
A full programme of slide shows/competition will take place each month, on the first Thursdays, throughout the winter. There are several Thursday evenings vacant at the moment if anybody would like to offer to do one. Please contact me on 0114 2665767 or email; I haven’t yet got anyone down for Thursday November 2nd.
