After leaving Sheffield in reasonable and dry weather, 4 members convened on Wessenden Moor in driving rain and almost nil visibility. After a brief discussion we decided to ” give it a try”. Rimmon Pit Clough was soon reached and we set off on a downhill scramble, unusual! However as the clough got narrower and we were forced onto the rock and stream bed, it soon became obvious that just standing up would prove difficult on the green. After a short time a retreat was decided upon. Back at the main track a short chat resolved in retreat to Langsett Cafe, warm and dry!!
Back at cars after 1 hour 10 mins, 3 km. Probably the shortest meet we will have this year!!
