    Meet by the school in Litton at G.R.164752 at 10am for a 10 mile walk via Cressbrook village,the high level traverse above Water-cum-jolley,Monsal Head, and after the Monsal Trail tunnel,Little Longstone, ,Longstone Moor,Wardlow Hay Cop before finishing with a walk up Cressbrook Dale andTansley Dale.

    The current forecasts warn of gale force winds up to 60 mph (up to 70mph in some areas) & rain on FRIDAY,but dry conditions on Saturday with light winds .
    So the prospects for Saturday’s walk look good.
    I will continue to monitor the forecast and advise if any change of plan is necessary.

    Following my previous message , the storm has now passed with no major problems & the forecast for tomorrow is good.
    The walk is therefore ON with no changes.
    See you tomorrow at 10 am by the school in Litton.
