No access to clubroom 2nd – 18th September

The Rising Sun will be closed 2nd-18th September for extensive building work, and therefore there will be no access to the clubroom during that period, so if you need any guide books or climbing equipment, please take it out before then.
I called there today to request that, if possible, all the rubbish outside the clubroom (broken tables, chairs and several parasol bases) could be cleared away into the builders’ skip. I spoke to Sally who has worked there for two years, who said they have been gradually clearing rubbish away, and hopefully more will go. She also asked whether it would be possible for them to use the clubroom temporarily to store such things as boxes of wine glasses, and wanting to maintain our good relationship with the staff there, I couldn’t think of a reason to say no. (they have a clubroom key anyway).
