7 cyclists set off up the Ashford hill to Sheldon on a beautiful day with blue skies heading along to Flagg on the high road. Another uphill to the ridge above Taddington with stunning views as we rode along it before a quick repaired snapped chain – Dick to the rescue – and fab downhill to Millars Dale. The road to Wormhill was followed by a downhill to Tideswell only marred by the wet road and the ‘country’ aroma which meant you knew what the splashes hitting your legs were – or in Lin’s case her glasses. ‘At least it wasn’t your eye’ was all the sympathy she received! A well deserved cuppa and then via Wardlow back to Tideswell. 21 miles in total.
Thanks to all for their company.
