As we have several members making their debuts as meet leaders on the new list I thought I’d offer a bit of advice as to advertising the Meets to hopefully get maximum attendance.
    1. Advertise well in advance on this message board, put perhaps not too far, 2 to 3 weeks is plenty, other than away meets. A follow up reminder a few days before the meet is also useful.
Talking to people on other meets beforehand and advertising your own meet is always worthwhile.
    2. Give a brief description of the meet, (a full route isn’t always necessary but length of walks is!) include starting time and place, with a grid reference if necessary. Parking availability if known and whether a pub/cafe stop is included.
    3. Any other details which might attract more participants, including things to see on the way during walks, range of grades for climbs etc etc.
    4. Enjoy.
    Cheers
    Paul Gibson.
