Simon Peace has just informed me that Mary Peace’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 5th January 2022 at 12 noon at Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium, Sheffield, and everyone who knew Mary is welcome to attend. At the moment there are no plans to have a meal or wake afterwards, but he will tell me if that changes. The family have requested no flowers, but a donation to a dementia charity such as Alzheimer’s Society instead.
He was very appreciative about the ‘Memories of Mary Peace’ that I had sent to him on behalf of the CMC, and he knew that her own most treasured memories were involved with the Castle Club, and that it was really good to hear that so many of us remembered his parents so fondly.
