I’ve seen this on the dark peak fell runners facebook page
The BMC have been in touch with Dark Peak Fell running club to ask if they’d be willing to help raise money for the Mend our Mountains appeal by dancing their way into the world record books.
They’ve come up with the idea of the ‘Kinder Konga’, whereby a team of suitably athletic nutcases would form a continuous conga line over and around the plateau. The Guinness record for dancing in a continuous conga line is currently about eight miles. The BMC’s provisional target is ten. They’ve pencilled in either Sun Oct 7th, or the Saturday or Sunday of the following weekend. Whether it goes ahead will depend on take-up from us and other local groups.
Has anyone heard about this?
