Kalymnos – sports climbing – Sun 27 April to Wed 7 May 2025
This is what Linda says:
We are planning to go, around this time. We tend to book car hire for part of the trip, and walk, bus, ferry to island of Telendos for the other part. People use this group to see if others want to share accommodation etc, tips, and then once there, partner up if necessary, where to go and eat or drink in the evening!
If you have not been before, there are 1000s of routes, all well bolted, usually a grade easier we find than Spain!
There is an excellent local guidebook, easy to use, can be bought online or once in Massouri, the main place to stay. There is a rockfax, but it is more select, and the money doesn’t go to the local community. And here’s what Bob says:
Four of us have already booked flights Gatwick to Kos (Sun 27 Apr 07:00, return Wed 7 May 14:55).
How to get there:
Fly to Kos; taxi to Mastichari; ferry to Pothia on Kalymnos; taxi from Pothia to Massouri. Ferry services and timetables (see link below). If your flight arrives after last ferry, find accommodation in Mastichari.
Accommodation:
Most climbers stay in Massouri, small coastal town with lots of bars, restaurants, accommodation, climbing and food shops. Many rooms are for 1 or 2 people and include basic cooking facilities, usually referred to as studios.
Some options:

Feel free to give me a ring on 07775 796 231. -
