John Burns was a member of the Castle some decades ago (some of our older members may remember him), and learned to climb with the club. He moved to Scotland, where he continued mountaineering and was a member of the Cairngorm MRT. He has published 3 books about the outdoors, The Last Hillwalker, Bothy Tales and Skydance.
He is giving a talk entitled “Whose land is it anyway?” as part of the Sheffield Libraries onlne adventure book festival.
