We have managed to book places in the excellent Barrow MC’s Coppermines Cottage, Coniston for Friday 26th & Saturday 27th January 2018.
This is a smallish hut, so places are limited, £10 pppn, please let me know asap if you want to reserve a place.
This is an excellent area for winter mountaineering, should conditions be suitable, in fact it’s probably the last place Vanda & I ventured forth with full winter kit! She’s now worried there may be a repeat. Should there be a ‘winter heatwave, Dow Crag is adjacent.
There’s also extensive walking around the Old Man of Coniston area and further afield. Cycling would also be an option for those who like that sort of thing.
