It is with great sadness that we have to let you know of the death of Hazel Laddiman. She died earlier today following treatment for leukaemia.
Hazel and Steve joined the club relatively recently, making a big and hugely positive impression. Hazel was an incredibly enthusiastic, generous and caring person. She threw herself into many aspects of the Castle club: walking, cycling, art activities and dipping (despite not relishing the cold).
They shared their beautiful house generously offering refreshment at all opportunities.
Hazel loved living in the Peak District , making the most of every moment and sharing her enthusiasm with all.
Our deepest sympathies to Steve and their sons Ben and Dan

Hazel’s funeral will be held on Friday 2nd August.
There is limited space available, so, on Sunday 4th August Steve would like to invite all club members to a walk in Hazel’s memory. This will be followed by refreshments at their home, The Chapel in Foolow.
Meet at 11am on The Green, Foolow for an approximately 7 mile walk.
Bring a pack lunch and some food to share at Steve’s afterwards.
Please let me know if you will be attending, and please contact me if you have any questions
    Thanks Kathy
