Thanks to CMC members for sponsoring my supported Bob Graham Round attempt which started at 1845 on Friday 25th June.
We raised £872.
I also want to express gratitude for how encouraging, and supportive friends from the Castle Mountaineering Club have been.
In particular thanks to Gordon Riley who lead road support a particular low point was when the people running from Threlkeld to Dunmail Raise decided to arrive 35 minutes early at 0305! The final straw was a late arrival at the Honister pass and the runners did n’t even stop. On a serious note this was crucial for getting support runners and supplies to the correct location.
These things are not guaranteed and with a lot of encouragement we made it back to to Keswick Moot Hall after 23 hours and 51 minutes, job done.!
