Dawn Chorus walk 9 th May Padley Gorge

Three people expressed some interest in a dawn chorus walk. The best fit is Tues 9th May.
Sunrise is c5,15am , so I suggest we meet at c 4.45 am so we can be in the wood c 5.00am. Meet near the top of the B road which runs down past Grindleford Station. There is some roadside parking where the icecream van parks in the summer and where a path crosses the road. Let me know if you are coming and I’ll send a grid ref., I can’t find a map at the moment.

Back at cars by c 6.30am at latest.

Elen, I will join you. You may wish to consider access to the woods from Padley Mill, just over the railway bridge. Commuters will not have parked at that time and you should be able to get fairly close to the station. Just a thought.
