As you will already know, the Clubroom is open on Thursday evening, giving you the opportunity to browse our extensive collection.
There are current climbing guides, including a complete set of the definitive guides to the Peak.
We also have a lot of biographical and autobiographical books, mainly on mountaineering.
You wil almost certainly have read Touching the Void by Joe Simpson (and if you haven’t , hen read it NOW!) But have you read This Game of Ghosts or The Becoming Silence?
He comes close to death on a number of hair-raising occasions.
Try also Steve House’s Beyond the Mountain, Arun Ralston’s Between a Rock and a Hard Place, Vic Saunders’s Elusive Summits or Pete Boardman’s The Shining Mountain.
