Climbing Sunday 7th August: Laddow

Climbing next Sunday is at Laddow – high on the moors with a mountain feel. Beloved by the early peak pioneers but less fashionable these days. There are lots of high quality easier and intermediate routes such as the Staircase (Mod), the Long Climb (HVD), Tower Face (VS) and Cave Crack (HVS). Meet 9.30am at Crowden car park (free but gets full quickly at weekends).
NB If the weather forecast is poor nearer the time I will post a more weather-friendly venue.

Weather looking good for tomorrow, so climbing at Laddow Rocks going ahead as planned. Meet 9.30am at Crowden car park – free but fills up quickly. The path up to Laddow follows the Pennine Way, but if you arrive at Kirk Yetholm you have gone too far!
