Hi All,
I am now leading this meet on behalf of John. I have decided to change the venue from Ravensdale because there are not many lower grade climbs there. It is a good crag and no doubt we will go there in the future. Because the Weather is looking good for the weekend I have decided to go a little further afield and go to Dovestones quarry above Dovestones reservoir in the Chew valley. There are quality routes of all grades including some special ones for Ben! Parking will be at the main pay & display car park grid ref SE013035. This is below the dam wall and NOT the Binn Green Car park.. Refreshments and toilets are available.
Approach from Holmefirth on the A635 passing the standing stones parking. of a previous meet. The turning is an acute left hander and you are advise to carry on to the mini island and come back on yourself. I intend to leave the car park at 10.00am so get there earlier for coffee etc. Walk in time approx. 50 minutes.
