As outlined in the CMC-Walking WhatsApp group 5/5/24 I have decided not to do this route due to public transport issues.

instead Meet 9.30 am at Hope ( primary school ) I will send a grid ref if you don’t know this location. Parking on Eccles Close and on Edale Road, does now get busy.
Hope Brinks, Hope Cross, Jaggers Clough, ringing Roger, Hardenclough, Hollins, Cross, lose hill . popular dark peak circuit, great views an easy scramble up Jaggers, what’s not to like. 10 miles

Catching the Hope Valley Train line from Edale to Chinley .. walking from Chinley return to Edale . Having reccied it this week and decided to extend route to avoid Jacob’s Ladder ( with v busy Sunday traffic ) it will take minimum 8 hours with breaks and will be approx 13.5 miles.
Having kept an eye on trains …with strikes this week and works between new mills and Piccadilly .. they have withdrawn the 8.48 train from the timetable. This would mean a later start as the next one is 9.47 and of course a later finish and a challenge with Edale parking.
Apologies to those planning to come on this lovely route but I will re schedule when the trains are fully operational and on a Saturday .. quieter in Edale .
I will offer an alternative dark peak walk and will update the website tonight
