Hi all,
On Thursday June 4th it’s my ‘Clubroom Special’ meet – bouldering at Burbage.
I’ve plumped for the Burbage South Boulders as the best place to offer something for everyone. Varying grades of accessible problems, not too high that people are rushing for their ropes but something challenging too.
UKC description says:
‘The valley boulders at Burbage offer some of the most friendly bouldering around. The landings are excellent and nothing gets too high. The problems tend to be slabs with some rounded arêtes thrown in.’
I will be bringing my bouldering mat but the more we have on the night the better. I have got Mary’s beautiful new Peak District Bouldering guide if there are particular problems you want to tick but we had just as much fun throwing ourselves on whichever bit of rock we fancied last time. Soooo, no excuses come along for a fun and easy night with just your rock shoes in hand and hopefully the weather will have realised it’s Summer by then!
There is parking for a few cars in a layby near the path but the best option may be to park in the Fox House car park and walk down. I will be in the car park for around half past 5 (or between half 5 and 6 if delayed at work) and will see you there or at the boulders.
