As Andrew is unable to lead this meet I have stepped into the breach with apologies for the late notice.
Meet at the lay-by above Cut Throat Bridge (G.R.215875) at 10.am.
The route heads off across the ege of Bamford Moor to eventually reach and follow Bamford Ege descending to the minor Road at Point338.Below this a footpath is taken to Bamford and so to Bamford Mill where the river is crossed and a path through fields then leads to a steady climb up to Thornhill Carrs.Following the ridge below Win Hill a steady descent leads down to the Ladybower Dam.The dam wall is crossed and a wooded path leads up from Heatherdene onto Bamford Moor with a steep climb bringing us onto the outward route and so back to the cars.
Distance 9.5 miles.
