As you will be aware, the Peak District Boundary Walk has been adopted by the club as one of the challenges in this our 50th Anniversary year.
An excellent guide book to the PDBW has now been published, and is available through the Friends of The Peak District website and retail outlets. Although the official opening date of the walk is the 17th June, and as there is no time like the present, this challenge is now open to club members.
The 190 mile walk follows existing footpaths, tracks and quiet lanes and has been divided into 20 stages. Please follow the links from the club’s home page and you will find further details and the list of stages. If you plan to walk a stage please let me know and your name will be entered on the schedule. Once you have completed the stage let me know the date and the names of those in your party and the schedule will be updated.
The objective is for club members collectively to have completed the walk before the anniversary dinner on the 21st October.
    Sean.
PS. Don’t forget to take your camera!
