Former Castle Club member Huw Kingston, who now lives in Australia, will be giving a lecture at Hallam University on Thursday 4 May 2017. Between April 2014 and April 2015 Huw made a self-propelled circumnavigation of the Mediterranean Sea, starting and finishing at Anzac Cove at Gallipoli in Turkey. His modes of transport included sea kayak, walking the length of the Alps (including an ascent of Mont Blanc), cycling and rowing.
His talk is in association with the Royal Geographical Society and will take place at the Peak Lecture Theatre, Hallam University, S1 1WB at 6.30pm (doors open 6.0pm); admission is £3 on the door (RGS-IBG members, and Hallam staff and students free).
