1 month and a bit warning:
Now is the time to spend a dark evening or poor weather day sitting in front of the fire and reliving last years adventures while flicking through your photos and deciding which to put into this years photo comp. If you are in Spain or like going out in the poor weather there is still time to catch that perfect, award winning photo .
The date is Thursday 6th April (8pm), the judge is Ian Smith , the venue is the club room and the categories are:
1. Action
2. Pictorial UK
3. Pictorial Abroad
4. Nature
There will of course be the democratically chosen Club Interest photo (I still like the one of Hugh in a pink tutu).
As always its the taking part that counts and (within reason) the more photos the better , so don’t be shy, send in your lovely photos and spend an evening sharing your good times in the hills . To open up the field a bit, this year there will be a not- meant-to-be-patronising Happy Snapper category which is open to anyone who does/did not get a first, second , third (or fourth?) prize in this or last year’s judged categories. So if your name is not Simon, Martin, Frank, Steve or David and you take all you photos on your phone you can still be best of the rest.
Send us your photos – by drop box to me or on disc to Dave Crowther. Unlike my last minute entries last year, It would be really good if you labelled each photo with your name, where it was taken , and what category it should be in . Ideally the photo should have been taken in the past 12 months but it definitely should not have been entered before. There will be one Happy Snapper award, chosen from all the photos entered into four categories.
Capiche?
