Apologies for the late report due to an Alps holiday plus a broken computer.
19 of us plus Floyd the dog set off from Curbar gap after a delay for 3 late arrivals. Most
were suitable clad in Christmas attire with some having knitted additions to their clothing plus
others that had transferred the Christmas tree lights to their hat! All in all a very festive gathering.
Coffee break was taken along White Edge where the Meet Leader performed his St. Bernard dog act by
passing shot glasses filled with “Ginger Frog” (Ginger wine and Brandy mixed) to the assembled throng.
At the lunch stop at the Grouse Inn we were joined by four other “Castle” members plus one guest.
Suitably full of good cheer we then set off south to join the Froggatt/Curbar track eastwards at the top of
the edges back to the cars.
Good views and great company – thanks to all for a wonderous Christmassy walk. Pete
